February is American Heart Month. Our children celebrate Valentine’s Day in school, our friends and neighbors “Go Red for Women” at various activities throughout the state. While it is sometimes a time when our New Year’s health resolutions may go by the wayside, it can also be a time to recommit to those healthy resolutions, especially those related to heart health.

Community Health Network is offering FREE “Know Your Numbers” screenings at all of their hospital locations, not only in February but throughout the year. The screening will determine your total lipid profile, blood glucose level, and blood pressure to help you and your doctor determine your risks for heart disease. You don’t even have to schedule an appointment, just show up on the day and time and at the location of your choice.
